All About Jazz Showcases the work of photographers, painters and illustrators with 'In Pictures' column

If you're a photographer or photo journalist, consider All About Jazz's In Pictures photo essay column. An In Pictures article includes a brief introduction which contextualizes the photos that accompany the article. A series of photos can be live event coverage (e.g. Umbria Jazz Festival) or themes (e.g. “Jazz Guitarists"). Though brief text is included, the focus of the article is on the photos that accompany it which are presented as a theme and in a full screen slideshow.

Submitting an “In Pictures" Article

Submitting an “In Pictures" article is as easy as 1-2-3. Once your member status is upgraded to “contributor," follow these steps:

• Upload a minimum of 12 photos (no maximum);
• Tag and title your photos from your Photo Admin page;
• Submit your article and include the title (e.g. Rochester International Jazz Festival 2017"), an introduction (1-2 paragraphs) and place the unique tag value (that you assigned during step 2) in the “Photo tag" box.

Once submitted, All About Jazz will automatically present up to 36 images on the article page, like this.

Submission Guidelines

We're looking for a nice variety of photos (not the same shot repeated), and if it's a live event, a few photos of the audience and of the location/ambience is helpful.

For concerts where you receive press credentials, always include the publicist's or direct contact's email address in the email notification box on the article submission form. When you do, they will be notified the moment the article is published.
